Orbital Sweep privacy policy
Orbital Sweep is an Android game developed by Hidden Packet Pty Ltd. Gameplay works offline and does not require an account. The app uses Google AdMob for advertising, which involves collecting and sharing data with Google through its software development kit (SDK).
Effective 17 September 2026.
Information kept on your device
Game progress, scores, checkpoints, credits, lives, settings and reward records are saved in Android's protected app storage. Game saves are not uploaded to Hidden Packet. Google's consent service also saves privacy preferences on your device.
Advertising and data sharing
AdMob supplies result-screen banners and optional rewarded ads. Its SDK automatically collects and shares data with Google, subject to privacy choices and available identifiers, including:
- Your IP address, which can indicate your approximate location.
- App and ad interactions, such as launches, taps and video views.
- Diagnostic information about app and SDK performance, such as loading times, hangs and energy use.
- Device and account identifiers, including the Android advertising ID, app set ID and, where applicable, identifiers associated with signed-in accounts on your device.
Google uses this information to deliver and measure advertising, personalise ads where permitted, analyse performance and prevent fraud. App set ID supports uses such as analytics and fraud prevention, not personalised advertising. See Google's SDK data disclosures and how Google uses information from partner apps.
Ads can be loaded before you choose to watch a rewarded ad, so declining a reward does not prevent this processing. Orbital Sweep has no separate gameplay analytics service.
Your privacy choices
The app contacts Google's User Messaging Platform to check privacy requirements and present consent messages where required before requesting ads. Your recorded choices determine which ads Google may provide.
Where available, open Settings → Advertising → Privacy choices to review or change your choices, including withdrawing consent. Android's advertising settings also let you reset or delete your advertising ID.
Refusing personalised advertising does not necessarily stop all ads or data processing. Limited ads can still use information such as your IP address to deliver ads and protect against fraud. Gameplay remains available when ads or consent services are unavailable.
Security and international processing
Google states that its advertising SDK encrypts collected data in transit using TLS. Google may process information on servers outside your country, under the protections described in its Privacy Policy.
Retention and deletion
Local game saves and preferences remain until you clear Orbital Sweep's app storage or uninstall the app. Hidden Packet does not hold cloud copies of your game saves.
Clearing storage or uninstalling does not delete information already received by Google. Google's retention periods and deletion controls depend on the data and its purpose; see how Google retains data and its Privacy Policy.
Intended audience
Orbital Sweep is intended for adults and is not directed at children.
